Can we afford the “look that we see in the design magazines?”

Most projects are successful or not based on the finishes selected. Flooring—whether tile, stone, wood or even linoleum—can affect the project costs significantly. Doors and windows can increase costs given the desired look of openness. Cabinetry, lighting, and fixtures all add to the look and affect the budget. One must navigate through these selections with caution, for it can be easy to get caught up in this process.
