NEUTRA PLACE
Neutra Place was my own personal residence that was purchased in 1995 for my wife and newborn son. Found as is, the house hadn’t even been painted since 1960 when it was initially built. There was no landscaping and lots of deferred maintenance but all the finishes were intact in their original state. Bonura Building restored the entire interior one month after purchase. Existing fixtures and finishes were either restored or refinished even down to the thermostat. To recreate the style of when the building was first constructed, the painting was done with brushes and not sprayed. The front deck was meticulously rebuilt with magnesite finish and the exterior was later restored using proper procedure to bring back the redwood siding and the painted stucco finishes. Prior to selling in 2003, Bonura Building had just finished the exterior landscaping, steps as well as reflecting pond. The house sold for a record amount in 2003.
